The Large Format Printer at the AU Library is managed by the Makerspace as part of the Digital Production Workbench and is only for academic use by current AU faculty, staff and students. Printing is not self-service and requires staff assistance. Please plan ahead to use this service as we may not be able to accommodate last minute requests.
Submitting a PDF file to print
All files must be submitted as a PDF using our poster printing request form. Once a submitted file is received, we ask for a 24 hour turnaround. Please note that we operate Monday through Friday, therefore any requests submitted on Friday evening and over the weekend will be printed on Monday.
Please remember to set your correct size before filling your poster with content! We will not edit your poster to fit a desired size or complete any other design work.
All of our paper is HP Glossy Photo Paper, and the prices are charged by the length of the final poster. The price per linear foot varies by the width of the paper roll (length/12 x cost of roll).
Current roll costs are:
- 24 inch wide roll - $4.50 per foot
- 36 inch wide roll - $4.75 per foot
- 42 inch wide roll - $5.00 per foot
Example of common poster prices
- 17x22 inches = $6.40
- 24x36 inches = $9.50
- 30x40 inches = $12.50
- 36x48 inches = $19.00
Payment is taken virtually. Once your poster is printed, you’ll receive an email with cost, please respond to approve transaction. Payment is taken in EagleBucks only. Money can be added to your account on the EagleBucks Portal.
After successful payment, all posters will be placed at the Click n Collect station, located on the first floor of the library (near the Circulation and Course Reserves desk). This floor is open 24/7.
Faculty wishing to schedule informational in-class academic poster sessions should contact us to set up an appointment.
